The Arrival

The afternoon sun fired more and more of its rays over the baking Earth. The yellow blazing king and its photonic army ruled the celestial as well as earthly kingdoms. Occasionally, the rebellious clouds, white and innocuous, made futile attempts to resist. The shelter of the night was also ineffective under the ruthless aftermaths of the day’s fury. This continued for several days. The Earth had no other option but to endure.

In the second week of the month of June, there came the reinforcement clouds charged with electricity and a huge amount of water as weapon. They shielded the helpless Earth from the rage and poured the healing liquid in streams. The sun and its legion were forced to agree for a truce, at least for the next eight months. We all jumped in delight. The monsoon had arrived.
